M&J Recycling shredders share superior features and an exceptionally robust construction.

M&J has over 160 years of experience in heavy industries.

Starting of as an iron foundry in 1857, M&J produced their first industrial waste shredder in 1988. After being acquired by the known Finnish Metso Corporation in 2009, M&J was acquired by Ahlström Capital in 2021 and operates ever since back under its original name M&J and it’s known quality. With it’s preshredders and fineshredders, M&J has a strong position in the worldwide recycling industry.

M&J: Your partner in efficient waste processing.

With a variety of waste shredders, M&J can help you achieve a size reduction of a variety of waste such as bulky waste, C&I waste (commercial and industrial waste), MSW (municipal solid waste), CDW (construction and demolition waste), biomass, wood and baled materials.

The robust and versatile pre-shredders, specifically built to take care of the first cut of the waste recycling process can transform a vast array of shapes and sizes of waste to a smaller and more uniform size, facilitating sorting, storage and transportation.

The fine-shredders, with a profound strength in processing RDF (refuse-derived fuel) and SRF (solid recovered fuel) on the other hand can tackle the specific demands of size and shape even better in an efficient manner. Thanks to M&J, all recyclable materials can be calibrated efficiently in an economically interesting manner.

The range of stationary pre-shredders allows to excel in numerous applications.
The K-series with their unbeatable uptime, easy maintenance and superior performance allow for profitable production in sites requiring between 5 & 45 tonnes/hour throughput.
As it’s name might give away, the B-series are the number one choice for opening light packing material. The bags are opened and the waste reduced, allowing for accurate sorting to take place.
The PreShred series are extremely suited to shred waste of different compositions and, depending of the chosen model, containing extremely bulky or heavy materials such as steel, stones and concrete.

Some of the key advantages:

  • Less downtime due to the reliable double hydrostatic drive
  • Open cutting table to let unshreddables pass and avoiding wear & breakdown
  • Astonishing capacity because of the aggressive knife geometry
  • Assured continuous production

The mobile M&J shredders allow the machines to be placed in environments where moving the shredder is required without compromising on the known quality and capacity of M&J shredders. Perfectly suited when the waste treatment line is prone to changes, the machine is required on multiple sites or to have the mobility of a mobile shredder.

Depending on the type, the M&J 4000 comes on tracks in the crawler version or on wheels in the trailer version, in which we will guide you to find the optimal solution.

Some of the key advantages:

  • Less downtime due to the reliable double hydrostatic drive
  • Open cutting table to let unshreddables pass and avoiding wear & breakdown
  • Astonishing capacity because of the aggressive knife geometry
  • Assured continuous production
  • Strong CAT C15 powerpack
  • Large engine space for easy maintenance
  • Rugged, sturdy overbelt magnet (optional)
  • Process waste at almost any location

The M&J fine-shredders can be used in all kinds of applications where smaller calibrated grain size is required.

It excels however in RDF/SRF and thus plastics, paper and cardboard.

Some of the key advantages:

  • Rotor CNC milled in one piece, engineered to prevent wraparound of waste and a geometry creating natural cooling
  • Clever pusher allows continuous production, equally spreading of the material and less fire prone environment
  • No pressure generated in large screen area
  • Small tolerances for a clean, homogenous output quality without friction or heat build-up resulting in lower wear costs

Unique waste processing approach in two steps

With their synchronous & asynchronous bi-rotor set-up, it is safe to say M&J has very well thought-through shredders helping you run your production activities with an unbeatable uptime and an astonishing capacity without compromising on the quality.

Having up to 7 possible types of knives welded on the rotors in respectively sets of 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 or 16 knives each, depending on the type of shredder, allows for an efficient preshredding of a variety of waste streams.

The fineshredder with narrow exact tolerances allows to shred the waste precisely to the desired dimensions. The large cutting area and screen section where no pressure is generated allow for an interesting throughput in the most challenging materials.
