Integrated cleaning
and sorting systems

In addition to shredding, ZB Group helps recovering more value from scrap by integrating aspiration, cleaning and sorting systems. De-Dust systems, Z-Boxes, magnetic drums and eddy current separators work together to produce cleaner, better-separated material streams and optimise overall process performance.

De-Dust systems remove dust and small, low-density particles generated during shredding, while the Z-Box uses counter-current airflow to separate light materials from heavier metals. Magnetic drums then recover ferrous metals and the eddy current separator (ECS) separates non-ferrous metals from the remaining waste. By combining these technologies, ZB Group creates an efficient integrated solution that improves material quality and increases the value of recovered metals.
